Anyone who purchases either a Christmas Gift Certificate or Doe Bay Clothing, will be the first invited to make reservations and buy Doe Bay Fest Tickets. So buy your loved one a Doe Bay Fest Hoodie or t-shirt and a gift certificate and tell them that they will be spending the week of August 11 to 15, 2011 at the 2011 Doe Bay Fest!
****************************************** The Dustbunnies & the Rappin Cowboy For the first time ever sharing the same venue! NEW YEARS - DOE BAY! What are you doing new years, new years eve? I will be hanging out at Doe Bay, dancing to the Dustbunnies, listening to some country rap music and having a drink or two. Our special guest The Sandman, the Rappin Cowboy, will be there performing many of his hits. Iit will be funny! This was Chris "Sandman" Sand at the fire at Doe Bay on the 1st day of 2008. That was almost three years ago, so he doesn't look this good anymore. The after new years eve celebration late night fire at the fire pit is always a Doe Bay experience. New York City jazz violinist Maliq Khalid will play at Doe Bay Cafe, with Orcas Island's own jazz legend Willie Thomas, Gene Nery, Martin Lund and Seattle's Chris Martin, plus The Fiddlin' Four. Mr. Khaliq has played with great musicians such
as Wynton Marsalis, Kenny Barron, Antonio Hart, John Blake, Itzahk
Perlman, Isaac Stern, Mark O’Connor and Regina Carter. He
has performed in numerous famed venues including Carnegie Hall,
Avery Fisher Hall, Alice Tully Hall, the Kennedy Center Concert
Hall in Washington, D.C., and Dizzy’s Club Coca-Cola at Jazz

He is the author of An Dantomine Eerly, a surreal debut novel that follows the last thoughts and memories of the Irish-American poet Dallin as he passes into death. Jarret began ADE on a typewriter in a house with no electricity on Monhegan Island, eighteen miles off the coast of Maine. He lives in Seattle. The Doe Bay Art Gallery – One nice thing about being such a unique place is that some great artists are willing and even anxious to display their work at Doe Bay. The café now has regular installations of 5 to 20 paintings or other works. Getting to Doe Bay can be half the fun. Consider the foot ferry from Island Express, directly to our beach. Call us for details. Another option is flying on Kenmore Air out of Seattle. The ferry
schedule includes fewer sailings in the Winter and Spring, but
they are almost never full, so come on up!
